MY REVIEW: 

This is the nicest "preaching Bible" that I've ever held in my hands and that is not an overstatement. I LOVED the texture of the Bible and the feel along with the FLOP. The quality is very solid from Crossway and I have no reason to believe this Bible will not last for decades.

This is a review of the Hebrew-English Interlinear ESV Old Testament: Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (BHS) and English Standard Version (ESV)  from the moderator of the J.C. Since the moderator of the J.C. Ryle X page cannot read Hebrew, I thought I would post a 5 star amazon review. 

"You would do well to purchase this as an excellent volume for Hebrew OT study. Well laid out...easy on the eyes with an excellent font.

Check Crossways Site for a sample page of this volume! The main thing I love is the Hebrew font is clear and well printed. This is Kittel's Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia.

I did a look-up of variances of the volume as opposed to the underlying KJV. OT Text and came across this listing. According to kjvtoday.com, a pro KJV website, the Hebrew text edited by Jacob Ben Chayyim and the third edition of Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia differ in only eight verses.

1 Kings 20:38: “ashes upon his face” - “bandage over his eyes”

Proverbs 8:16: “all the judges of the earth” - “all who judge rightly”

Isaiah 10:16: “Lord” - “LORD”

Isaiah 27:2: “vineyard of red wine” - “pleasant vineyard”

Isaiah 38:14: “LORD” - “Lord”

Ezekiel 30:18: “Be darkened” - “Be held back”

Zephaniah 3:15: “see evil” - “fear evil”

Malachi 1:12: “table of the LORD” - “table of the Lord”

So if these are valid in variance this is a worthwhile volume for your library ...that coupled with the literal highly accurate ESV , makes for enriching study. I look fraward to using this for years to come. Other than the case laminate cover which I do not prefer, other wise it is fairly compact for a large volume, good paper thick enough for high-lightening, and a Smyth-Sewn binding to boot! OVERALL, I think this resource is well made. As I was flipping though the page, I thought the binding was strong and this would be a resource you could study with and not damage. Obviously, this is going to be more ideal for the "serious" student of the Bible who wants to learn the Biblical languages.
